  6. Thanks for all the kind words. Without going in to too much detail something (probably a coon) tried to get her through the fence. The wound wasn't life threatening but I think she might have suffered from shock. Not having rabbits before I probably didn't handle it correctly and now I'm feeling quite guilty. ;(

  7. So sorry about your sweet bunny. We had a Belgian Hare - biggest rabbit I ever saw! He was a dear, sweet boy - he died at 8 years old. I literally saved him from the talons of a Red Tailed Hawk when he was young.

Apparently, someone either didn't want him & set him out at a park or he was someone's pet & got away. Either way, while we were at a park we noticed a beautiful hawk seriously eye-ing something. Looking down, we saw this obviously domestic bunny happily eating clover out in the open. While we watched, the hawk swooped down, picked up the bunny & was going to fly right over our heads. As he was flying toward us, he almost dropped the bunny - I think he didn't realize how much heavier than a cotton-tail the bunny was. When he got up to us I yelled & waved my arms over my head, he dropped the rabbit & the rabbit just froze from fright! I picked him up, took him home & we had him for 8 years! He was a sweetheart & never bit anyone. He loved to romp around our homeschool room. Oh...also...since we found him in a park, his name was Parker. lol

    Blessings from Ohio...Kim Wolf<><
