...a "helper" to feed the animals.
"Fashionista"!
...a farm gargoyle.
...my new "lovely ladies".
...a handsome boy!
...and a spoiled rotten puppy (and proof that someone else does the spoiling).
Plus, I'm feeling much better! Thank you so much for all the encouraging words and well wishes.
I have decided to do a "What makes me smile..." post each week because I think it's important to remember and emphasize the things in life that make me happy!
What makes you smile...???

Love the puppy photo...too cute!
ReplyDeleteLots of things make me smile but today it was the picture of your little helper and the spoiled rotten puppy. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have to kinda copy Barbara and say that your little "fashionista" helping out in those cool little black and yellow boots made me smile this afternoon!
ReplyDeleteThe puppy picture is the cutest things I've ever seen! And the new girls are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that picture of that shoulder-dog made me smile and widely. I`ve heard of lap-dogs but he beats them all!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics!
that is so cute, the dog on your husband's neck...all of our animals make me smile. they are all so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh,my gosh! Your blog makes me smile. I just came across it..big ol' smile with Maybelline hanging around hubby's neck.

That pic of the puppy sleeping around his shoulders like that is priceless. I bet hes a nice little heater!
ReplyDeleteYour post made me smile. Your girls are lovely and you have a beautiful Roo too.
ReplyDeleteOh, I want a "helper" just like yours!! She is so adorable! Love the long fingers on her gloves! LOL
ReplyDeleteIn your 8th picture down, one of the ones with your pretty hens - what type of chicken is the grayish one on the left, with the black head? She's lovvvvvvely!!
I love that fourth photo, where your *helper* is looking back with the hat slipping down over her eyes!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
This is a wonderful idea. So many times we dwell on the negative and it becomes a bad habit. To take time out of our busy week and think on the things that make us smile is a really good thing to do. What a positive post this is.
ReplyDeleteThat photo of your husband and granddaughter(?) is just beautiful. Oh, those blue eyes. The puppy neck warmer is the best.
Thanks for sharing you "smiles" with us.
What a lovely post! That little one is adorable! Beautiful eyes on her! And loved seeing that puppy "scarf" - we can never love our animals too much! :-)
ReplyDeleteOooh! You have much to make you smile! The puppy scarf/pillow is so stinkin' cute!
ReplyDeleteYour hens and roo are a beautiful flock indeed! And Sweet Pea is the cutest little muffin!

Are you sure that's a puppy and not a bat? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea - to emphasize these things that make us happy! How easily I forget...
Happy Thursday to you!
~~Camie~~
Ooops, I forgot...is that white hen an Ameracauna? We had one of those as well. Meanest hen this side of the Rockies. I hope yours is nicer. There's nothing quite like an evil hen... :)
ReplyDeleteYou have quite the crew at your place!!! How do you keep all those dogs name's straight?!? I get confused with my four!
ReplyDeleteGreat post~~
I agree, sometimes we get to complaining so much that we forget to count all our blessings. Just love the hound-dog pillow.
ReplyDeleteWhat grea pics! My favorites are the one w/your little sweetie following your hubby, looking back at you w/her cap nearly over her eyes. Precious.
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course, the pic w/your dog over your hubby's shoulders. That's great.
What makes me happy?...My family laughing & enjoying a good meal at our supper table.
Blessings from Ohio...Kim W<><
Thanks everyone I hope you had something to smile about today.
ReplyDeleteThe puppy is a 4.5 month old Bloodhound / Coonhound mix (she was probably 3.5 months at the time of the photo). I doubt there will be a redo of that pose in the future. Maybel is growing like a weed!
Danni & Camie - Both are Ameraucana's and both are very sweet (praying they stay that way). I'll be posting some more pictures of them tonight.
now that is some wrap. oh my. that shot is worth a million.
