    I am sorry! I had 3 of the best little silkie hens and one by one they were picked off at that farm last year.

    Oh dear. To lose a part of your animal family is so heartbreaking. She was a beauty, and I know she had a good life. So sorry, Sandy.

    Thanks for all the sweet comments. We are not sure what happened. I found her in the coop Monday evening surrounded by all her babies. Don said she came out Monday morning with everyone else but it was raining and he didn't stay out with them for long.

    She was a sweet thing and we will miss her. We now have the babies she raised (4 black silkies & the BR/Ameraucana mix) and two adolescent Silkies. I just hope they are as sweet as she was!
