Friends from GA...
Henry and Jeannie came to see us in the mountains from Athens, GA. On Monday, we had an awesome day biking the top part of the Virginia Creeper Trail (17 miles from White Top, VA to Damascus, VA). The day was a little hazy with the sun trying to peak through but the temps were perfect.

"Want to go for a walk?"
...asks HB.
"Sure. Where?"
"Just across the street."
"I want to measure a tree."
"Hmmm.....OK, what tree and why are we measuring it?"
"Because it's a big tree."
"Oh! and bring the camera."
"How long will it take to get to the tree?"
"That depends on how fast you walk?"
Of course, with this statement I'm starting to get a little worried but here is a pictorial of our "tree-measuring stroll".
(We were accompanied by Maggie, Explorer Extraordinaire.)
